Modbus Wireless (LoRa)
- Long communication range Communications can be established within a range of 1km in open air, and 300m in most buildings
- Point-to-point or point-to-many application The gateway can be used to established point-to-point connections, as well as one to many connections.
For specific applications, such as conducting non invasive energy audits, Trane has approved the use of a powerful wireless gateway. This gateway allows the Modbus protocol to be carried over a wireless network, based on LoRa spread spectrum technology.
It is used to communicate basic raw data, such as temperatures or pressures between devices, while ensuring data encryption. Couple with LoRa wireless technology brings the risk of data hacking down to a very low level.
RS485 to LoRa gateway
E32-DTU-868L30 module is a long range gateway wirelessly transporting Modbus RTU messages over LoRa type protocol.
This module adopts advanced LoRa Spread Spectrum communication, as well as advanced Forward Error Correction coding, strengthening communication stability and reliability.
It can transmit Modbus messages at 19.6Kbps up to 3 km in light of sight. The module supports grouping, point-to-point or one-to-many type infrastructure
